Individual + Relationship Therapy

Individual Therapy

I am passionate about working with people on their sexualities as experienced through generative energy, also called life force energy (Lorde, 1978). I support my clients in articulating and embodying their identities, orientations, and experiences as we co-create a safe space together.

As a nationally certified sex therapist, I specialize in working with individuals who are interested in processing shame and moving toward pleasure. I help support people to develop grounding and resourcing skills to remain and/or build connections with body and mind. I work through a feminist and queer lens, supporting people to realize ways in which their experiences of sexuality are a combination of the private life sphere and what we learn/are taught through public life, including media, laws, policies, and institutions we interface with

Relationship Therapy

As your relationship therapist, I am interested in supporting you and your partner in better understanding one another, developing your communication, and enhancing your intimate bonding experiences. I work with people who are interested in building their insight about what dynamics they get stuck in; this takes place in four stages.

The first stage is assessment, where I am getting to understand your dynamics in relationship, including your strengths and reasons for coming into therapy. Second, we work on identifying areas you are ready to work on. It will be important to identify how you can support yourself and each other in the learning and change process. In the third phase, skills are developed to build communication and practices in communication, intimacy, and sex therapy. Last, we work on terminating therapy, having you use your skills more independently and more often.

Most importantly, relationship therapy is a place of support for you both and in your relationship.

What people are saying

"Natashia is one of the most passionate and truly skilled individuals that I have ever met in the mental health field. Working with her is always an inspiring and enriching experience, as she has the ability to deeply be present with all of those around her. I would recommend anyone taking the chance to be able to work with her as I was grateful to have had the time we shared."

Somatic Sex Therapy is for you if…

✓ You are ready to feel more embodied, recognizing your inner wisdom and relishing your sexuality.

✓ You are ready and realize you could use support because you don’t know how to change out of a stuck pattern of not knowing how to really open up to those around you.

✓ You are committed to social justice, but finding that you continue to find yourself in traditional roles and/or amongst privilege, not knowing how to explore your internal process around these issues and how to really make a change within yourself.

Hello there, I’m Natashia .

I’m a Psychotherapist, Group Facilitator, Professor & Speaker. I am here to support you in creating spaces where you can explore yourself and walk the talk of embodied love, pleasure-filled sexuality, and modeling co-parenting in empowering ways. Change is amazing, and it’s also a lot of work. For many of us, our early models had some hardships and we wish to learn new and different ways to be in a relationship with partners and our children. You don’t have to struggle on your own.

More about me

Are you experiencing a transitional time period?

(developing a long-term relationship, growing your family, coming out, changing careers, etc.)

Transitional periods are often coupled with overwhelm, grief, loss, tons of newness, and uncertainty. That's a lot! These times can be especially difficult to bond with loved ones around us, making us feel even more isolated. Many of my clients are high-performing individuals or couples who are finding themselves in difficult times. They may not feel their strength, feel a lot of vulnerability, and are searching for what to do. People who are used to high achievement are usually great problem solvers and very self-reliant. Not knowing how to deal with grief when you have a new baby or lack of connection when you are committed to a relationship can feel especially frustrating. It can lower self-esteem and confidence. Problem-solving doesn't make the newness and overwhelm go away. We will use what is going on as a source to develop greater insight and greater skills in connection and care. Our feelings show up for reasons. Let’s figure out why you are feeling how you are and work with it rather than blame your feelings and spiral into shame.
